Mike and Carole Coomber established the New Forest House of Prayer in 2005. Following a number of visits to the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOP), they believe the Harp and Bowl model of 24/7 prayer and worship is one of the most effective ways of making prayer both sustainable and enjoyable. Their heart is to see God transform lives and establish His kingdom rule in the New Forest and Wessex region.
Mike is a worship leader, songwriter and graphic designer, with a real desire to train up young musicians and singers to use their gifts prophetically. Carole is a retired headteacher, with many years of experience in seeing young people come to faith in God and growing in discipleship.
Accountability
We felt it important that the leadership of New Forest House of Prayer should have some accountability. We have asked Mike and Penny Stevens to provide accountability and oversight to the leadership team. Mike and Penny are intercessory missionaries, and were on staff at IHOP-KC for three years. We are also grateful to Jonathan and Sylvia Wallis, leaders of Wellspring Church New Forest for their pastoral oversight to us.
